Many young people who aspire a flying career are unaware of the content of flight training and the preparations which are needed. On November 23rd, 2015 I started my ATPL(A) training. Time to realize my childhood dream. I&#8217;d like to take you along on an adventure and I&#8217;ll happily answer all your questions on the way. Let&#8217;s do this!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">June 22, 2016 \u2013 We\u2019ve had long days and short nights, but our hard work paid off. Everyone passed the school finals and now we\u2019re on our way to the final EASA exams.  Great news!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">School Finals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During phase 1 we were lucky enough to have an extra week of study time before the exams. This time we only had two days, but we can be proud of our results and progress as a group.To summarize: 7 exams in 3 days time.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Day 1: Flight Planning \/ General Navigation<br>Day 2: Mass and Balance \/ Air Law \/ Operational Procedures<br>Day 3: Performance \/ Radio Navigation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first day was a tough one. Both exams were exhausting and we had to work hard in order to finish in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our second day was more about theoretical knowledge with courses such as Air Law and Operational Procedures. Mass and Balance was a very short exam with a few exercises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Performance wasn\u2019t too difficult and I felt quite confident about my own performance (I guess that was a bad joke). Allow me to explain!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are many flight schools in Europe and they all follow the same rules and regulations. It\u2019s not easy to schedule all the exams which take place on a daily basis which also explains why we had an extra week of study time in phase 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our departure to the US won\u2019t change which basically means that we lose one week of holiday. To be honest I am happy that we could do it this way. Study time is always greatly appreciated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the EASA exams, I will provide you with a summary of the exams and the results.
